Burstow Signs For Chelsea

Sporting Talent client, Mason Burstow, completed the signing for Chelsea Football Club from Charlton Athletic as the midseason transfer window closed in January 2022. The striker agreed to return to the Valley on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Burstow joined Charlton in October 2020 as a second-year scholar from a non-league club. He made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy against Crawley Town. Coming off the bench late on, the forward scored with his first touch in professional football, just two minutes after his introduction.

On his FA Cup debut, it took just four minutes to score with a low drive into the bottom corner against Havant & Waterlooville, with a League One debut following a fortnight later. This form has secured Burstow a contract with Chelsea FC that commits him until the summer of 2025.
