Mason Burstow has officially signed a permanent, multi-year contract with Hull City from Chelsea FC. The 20-year-old striker has made the move to the Championship side in a deal that will see him continue his development at the MKM Stadium.
Burstow, who joined Chelsea from Charlton Athletic in 2022, had spent time developing within the club’s youth ranks and First Team. Making his full debut in August 2023 against West Ham United in the Premier League before going on loan in order to gain more senior experience at Sunderland. His move to Hull City marks a fresh step in his career as he seeks regular first-team football, something Hull City will look to offer as they aim to strengthen their attacking options.
Speaking about his move Mason said: "It’s a big accomplishment for myself. I’m really excited to be here. There’s a real homely feel about the club, with big aspirations, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
“There’s a real project here. I play through the middle and always try to be a threat in the box. I can link play, hold it up and run in behind. Hopefully, there are different avenues the manager can use me.
“Sunderland was a learning curve but hopefully Hull is the place I can kick on and make a statement for myself.”
